LAST ONE~!
Have you graphed this onto your graphics calculator?
I DONT HAVE ONE
Okay what graphing tool have you used?
i use a graphing calculator at school but now i dont know how to do it because i do not have one at home
Okay that fine, let's use this one http://my.hrw.com/math06_07/nsmedia/tools/Graph_Calculator/graphCalc.html
Graph your function, you will have to type in cos(2x)-2sin(x) for it to work. Don't forget the brackets. Then go into settings and change to xmin to 0 and xmax to 6.28
Change the ymin to -3 and the ymax to 2 and you'll be able to see the graph better, do you have this up?
im sorry im trying to work with other questions too, i have limit time for this i have to turn in the hw online at 6:30 and this is the only question im struggling with to finally finish or ill get an F
that's fine once you have this graphed, you'll see the answer
perfect now all we have to do is estimate the maximun which occurs at the peaks. what values do you get?
and the minimums will be at the troughs
max would be (3.6,1.4)
min 1.57,-3
not quite see i get at maximum at 3.6 and at 5.8 so the answer would be 3.
and for the minimum it is at 1.5 which is good but the other one is at 4.71 so the answer will be option 4.
oh i was close! ah thank you so much for your help! i understand now and the website is amazing
no worries :)
