in the clotting process, what is the difference in a clot and a platelet plug?

A platelet plug describes the accumulation of platelets in a damaged blood vessel. A clot is the end product of the clotting process (including the platelet plug and other components like the conversion of fibrinogen to fibrin). But I can't gurantee that this is 100% accurate..
