I could only say that, beacause of the huge amount of water, as well as the sediments deposited in the insertion fo the Amazon river with the Atlantic ocean, the colour and salinity of this ocean have changed in almost 320 km from the delta

I would imagine that the Amazon is fresh water until the delta where it meets the sea and becomes brackish water. Hope this answers your question
