OpenStudy (ash2326):

joshuam you just got to know the formula for calculating the lateral surface area. Find the lateral surface area?

OpenStudy (ash2326):

hershey _kisses don't answer , let him work out

ANSWER: about 126 in² SHOW WORK: 1. A cylindrical container's lateral surface is to be covered by a label. If the container's diameter is 5 inches and its height is 8 inches, how much paper is needed to create the label? lateral surface area = 2πrh If d = 5, then r = 2.5 and h = 8, so lateral surface area = 2π(2.5)(8) = 40π ≈ 125.66
