My school district website for MLA citations does not have a period after the word"Web" for web pages with an author and does not have a period after the date of access for websites without an author. Are these citations correct?

I have always put a period and my professors have never marked off for it...so i am guessing they are not correct citations...but i would check here to make sure http://www.mla.org/
