Question

How do you construct a rectangle using a compass? I was thinking of creating triangles and then combining them to create a rectangle..but cant seem to figure it out.

given a line segment, can you construct a perpendicular to it?
If so, do it twice

then use the compass to measure an equal distance up each perpendicular and draw in a top
