Why is a bird's wing shaped the way it is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Birds can fly only because of the special shape of their wings (and because of their bones that are hollow). The shape of their wings is referred to as an 'airfoil'. I suppose you could refer to this site if you'd like - http://w3.shorecrest.org/~Lisa_Peck/Physics/syllabus/phases/gases/gaswp05/shelaan/home.html. There are better sites than this, but I'm not sure what you're precisely looking for.
