my cygwin thing came with both emacs and vim. which one should I learn first?

I had to use vi in school so that's what i use because I'm used to it.

@ shoot.me: Well, I guess technically that is true, but it is more likely the vi and cygwin are going to be learned in conjunction. At least that is how it was for me. As you learn how to use vi you are usually using it to write scripts.
