If 400 students in the school took the SAT, how many scored in the 1301 to 1600 range? A. 14 B. 40 C. 56 D. 60

Did you copy the question correctly? :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea i think its correct. Because the SAT results are skewed to form a normal distribution curve. So if you convert the score, 1301 -1600 is equivalent to the 54percentile and the 67 percentile. Thus under the normal distribution curve, just find that percentile range, and the specified region. BUT i forgot how to find it in the calculator. haha. so im not sure what is the answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes I did

Directrix (directrix):

C. 56

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ZZZZZZ. lol when i tot i was smart to think of the normal distribution curve. BUT the answer can be derived from the stupid pie chart.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Haha, guess i can still feel happy about it, even if it is thinking too much.
