hello in need help for my mla paper. well i do my thing for music lyrics and i used fee song of the same band and i do not know what fill in the bracket for the intext citation. for example if have nirvana and i used rape me, about a girl and the main song for the essay smells like teen spirit?! please help!
I'm using the MLA seventh edition handbook, and i'm assuming it's a sound recording. Fill in the blanks for your infomation when I use ( ). (The singer, performer, last name, first name). (your song). (The other artists involved with that song, First Name Last Name, First Name Last Name, and First Name Last Name for example). (The manufacturer, Who made the cd?), (Issue Date when was it first sold? n.d. if you don't know). (Finally the medium, CD for a compact disk, LP for a long playing record, and Audiocassette, AudioTape for a reel to reel tape. Reply if you have questions.
Yeah i know this for a works cited page but i mean how to make an citation in text for example: ...../...../...../ (and what should i have here? i know that the number of line but i dont know what give before it when i use nirvana few times different songs) i thought to do: ..../..../..../ (Rape Me 3-7)
I would think that it would be the last name of the author of the song not the song itself. Whatever is first on your citation would be what you use. So .../.../... (The name of the author of the song.
So pretty much the last name of the author.
and i missed a ) on that first post so u know
yeah but when i cite few times the same author but different songs? ;D
are you taking a single song or a CD?
