i did a project that delt with flipping coins now the question asks me how does this activity relate to half life functions?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Because the is a 50/50 chance that each coin will turn up heads or "Decay". So every time you flip all the coins and you take out the coins that turn up heads, that is the half life.

what is a limitation in flipping coins in comparision to the expoontial functions? in other words what happens in the activity of flipping coins that doesnt happen with other expontial functions demonstrating half life?
