?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

find vertex by 1st finding axis of symmetry (x = -b/2a). then plug in value of x into your equation to solve for f(-b/2a). those are your two points of your vertex

thanks

so what is your calculation of x , also know as the axis of symmetry

Directrix (directrix):

Vertex (0 , -3) Axis of symmetry is: x = 0 See graph at this link: http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=+y%3D2x%C2%B2-3
