Will someone please help before I break my keyboard?
Agent_Sniffles, what do you need help with?
An outline for my school project essay. I haven't done an outline before, and I need help with it because I just don't know what to put in it, or how to set it up.
Well, it depends what your essay is about, and the type of essay it is, but this is a very basic outline format that you can use. I. Introduction (one paragraph) a. Thesis b. Three main points 1. ? 2. ? 3. ? II. Body (three paragraphs) A. Discuss main point one B. Discuss main point two C. Discuss main point three III. Conclusion (one paragraph) a. Restate thesis b. Restate three main points c. Sum-up the paper (remember not to give NEW information in the conclusion)
But i thought the first point (I) is just supposed to be something short?
Could you fill in the spaces with a sample and maybe I can understand it differently...?
I hate outlines. And my teacher won't explain exactly how to do one, so I can't really ask her for help.
The intro is relatively short, but it's what holds your thesis and everything, so you should at least have that.!
It would really help if we knew what the essay was about.
Keeping in mind that I don't know what type of essay you are writing, here is a sample introduction: Building a campfire might seem like a simple task for some but, for others, issues with the fire can ruin their camping trip. I hope to make the process less intimidating. With knowledge and planning, anyone can build a successful campfire. First, I will describe the ideal location for a campfire, as well as the fire pit itself. Then, I will discuss several types of burning materials, and walk you through the steps of setting up the fire. Lastly, I will show you how you can cook over the hot coals, and how to properly extinguish the fire.
It's about animal cruelty, but I got it. Thanks you guys!
