What is the difference between the ribosome and the ribosomal RNA??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ribosome is the macromolecular aparatus. It consists of protein and RNA. rRNA refers to all RNA molecules encoded to forms part of the ribosome. Don’t forget that in the ribosome, the RNA presents catalytic properties, and that ribosomal proteins have only structural or regulatory functions.
