For graph1 you can get the equation because you have the roots (-4 and 2) Then : y = (x+4)(x-2) y= x^2 + 2x - 8 you remember the discriminant of y=ax^2+bx+c is : b^2-4ac this case a=1,b=2,c=-8 then discriminant = 2^2-4*1*(-8) = 36

the second is the same , you'll be able to do it
