What is the slope of a line that passes through the point (−5, 3) and is parallel to a line that passes through (2, 13) and (−4, −11)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

to find the slope of the second line you need to do (y_2 - y_1) --------- (x_2 - x_1) for the points (2,13) and (−4, −11)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

since the line passing through the point (−5, 3) is parallel to that line it will have the same slope does this make sense to you?

For the most part, i got it right i just needed the equation. thank you

alright no problem :)
