Indicate the equation of the given line in standard form. The line through the midpoint of and perpendicular to the segment joining points (1, 0) and (5, -2).

first find the slope given the two points. use the formula:\[m=(y _{2}-y _{1})/(x _{2}-x _{1})\] since the it asked for the perpendicular equation of the line, use the inverse of the slope. . then, then find the midpoint using the two points. (x1 , y1) , (x2 , y2) use the formula. . \[x=1/2(x _{2}-x _{1}) \] \[y=1/2(y _{2}-y _{1})\] given the midpoint (x,y) and the slope in you can find the equation of the line using slope intercepr form, then transform to standard form. .
