A particle moves along a horizontal line with position x(t)= 10/t. describe its motion at t=1 a) moving right and slowing down b) moving right and speeding up c) moving left and slowing down d) moving left and speeding up e) stopped (just making sure- I am thinking it is B. but I could be wrong)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I would say it's C, At 1 second its at 10, at 2 seconds the partical is at 5, and at 3 seconds, the particle is at 3.3333. So it moved left (think about it as if you are looking at a scale) from 10 to 5 to 3.333, so its moving left and slowing down... .hope that right!lol

OpenStudy (liizzyliizz):

lol thanks :P
