Place the following in the order of decreasing energy content. Explain why glucose, G3P, PEP, carbon dioxide, pyruvate, acetyl CoA
i can tell u how to arrange rit now a lil hurry so i cant calculate but liten here u have to see cycles like in the formation of glucose by aerobic repiration u got 36/38 ATP now imilarly cacluate in the formation of G3P, PEP, CO2, etc how many ATP are required
urgg..sorry still dont really get it how u calculte it..
ok u know how glucose if form? means all steps
yes i know that glycolysis -> kbres- > ETC
in glycolysis 8ATP is formed in link reaction 6 ATP in kreb cycle 12 ATP but u knw 2 pyruvate are form so there will be 24 ATP now calulating all we say 38 ATP
u get this much
glycolysis 1)ATP forms at substrate level phosphyrylation =4ATP 2)ATP produces via ETS(2NADH2)=4 ATP or 6ATP (as u kw abu malate shuttle sytem if electron goes through it then 6ATP if electron goes through glycerol huttle system then 4ATP) 3)ATP consumes in glycolysis=2ATP sso by deducting 2 ATP from total net ATP we get 6 or 8 ATP
link reaction 2 NADH2 = 6ATP (via ETS)
krebs cycle 1)ATP forms at substrate level phosphyrylation= 1GTP/1ATP 2)ATP produces via ETS 3NADH2+ FADH2=9ATP+2ATP total= 12ATP from one kreb cycle now u knw two krebs cycles run so total24 ATP
total ATP u find in glycolysis 8ATP is formed in link reaction 6 ATP in kreb cycle 12 ATP but u knw 2 pyruvate are form so there will be 24 ATP now calulating all we say 38 or 36 ATP
1 NADH2=3ATP 1FAdH2=2ATP
