Beer and bread wouldn't be possible without yeast. Without bacteria in my colon I couldn't produce the amazing house-evacuating farts either.

thats just funny

OpenStudy (blues):

Good answer, Kainui. Um, the one thing is, yeasts are a eukaryotic fungus. But the point about farts is perfectly valid.

OpenStudy (kainui):

Whoops, you're totally right, I knew they were eukaryotes, should've thought a little harder before making jokes lol.

Bacteria like Rhizobium help in fixing atmospheric oxygen. Coliform is a bacteria found in human intestines which is also useful. Bacteria r also capable of digesting the hydrocarbons in petroleum are often used to clean up oil spills. Bacteria can also be used in the place of pesticides in the biological pest control. Bacteria are the workhorses for the fields of molecular biology, genetics and biochemistry. They are equally essential for preparing anti-biotics.
