Sounds like non-dysjunction of chromosomes. Might be a link to the disease state on Wikipedia

I think Euan is right about non-dysjunction. I looked it up (not on Wiki) and apparently the final word in a long and rather nasty scientific dispute is that the double Y condition in males is not associated with a syndrome. The latest work on the subject found that 97% of British males who are XYY do not have behavioral, antisocial or physical traits associated with the condition.
