The chat boxes don't close automatically whenever we click outside; this makes sense, we want to be able to see a question while making conversation. For the new "New Questions" box, however, it would be more streamlined to have those close when clicking outside (and after clicking the "go to this group" button). We've no reason to leave them open. I'm not actually annoyed by this or anything, I was just curious as to the rationale behind having the "new questions" bar stay open.

Its not happenning to me

OpenStudy (shadowfiend):

Great idea. We'll make it happen :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

plz dont restart server when we're all typing answers lol

OpenStudy (shadowfiend):

We put out a warning for server restarts a minimum of five minutes before we do a restart. There should also be code to automatically restore any answers you were typing when the system reloads. If that latter part isn't working, please let us know.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The warning worked for me--so it was, in fact, my fault earlier for not anticipating. I was pretty much racing the clock typing the answer. But my answer wasn't restored. ಠ_ಠ

OpenStudy (shadowfiend):

That's definitely a problem. What browser are you using?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Firefox. Although... I did attach a file.

OpenStudy (shadowfiend):

Well, the only thing that *shouldn't* have restored was the file heh. Any text you typed should have been restored.

OpenStudy (shadowfiend):

Do you know what version you're on?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's possible the text was restored, but the attached file (the large part of my answer) being deleted made me throw my laptop across the room (figuratively) so I didn't notice the text... woops lol Well, I'm using the latest non-beta build of Firefox.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry for bothering you with my technical incorrectness. X3

OpenStudy (shadowfiend):

Haha. Fair. Yeah, we can't do anything about attached files, I'm afraid, because of the way the browser is set up. Sorry!

OpenStudy (shadowfiend):

By the by, you may actually have run into a bigger issue, which was that after our initial release yesterday, file uploads were broken altogether. We fixed that later last night.
