OpenStudy (myname):

how would you approximate a slope to a specefic point, like say to 0.01 bacteria per hr

OpenStudy (myname):

I have the slope or the rate of change of the population of bacteria at 2 hrs and now i need to approximate the slope, accurate within 0.01 bacteria per hour.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y=e^[kt] where k is constant and y is population at time t.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y=ce^[kt] c is constant

OpenStudy (anonymous):

now find at t=0 y=c the y(t)=ye^[kt] then y=ye^[kt] find k first

OpenStudy (anonymous):

k=ln1/t=2hrs then y(t)=0.01e^[kt] sub values to find y
