How come it ended the way it did for the Congress and the Muslim League in India, or vaguely speaking, the majority of Hindus and Muslims? Why couldn't we have gotten along and formed a single country? Where, along the line, did it go wrong? Because, in around the 1914s - 1918s the Muslim League, led by liberal Muslims, fought for freedom with the Congress hand in hand. What made them adopt the view that it would not be possible to work together for the formation of a single country anymore?
