A bird is sitting in an air tight cage suspended from a spring balance. If the bird starts flying, then the reading of the balance will
I think it will reduce when the bird has flown out. Till the bird is in the cage, the reading will be the same.

super. Congrats.
Bye
although it is an air tight cage it is supported by a spring balance which has the weight meter . when the bird starts flying then the tension that is acting on the spring would decrease so the weight would decrease
the weight remains unaltered as when bird flys,it causes turbulence of air particles with it but the mass of (air+bird )inside remains unaltered while considering weight u have to see the acceleration of system as whole and not acceleration of individual particles inside it.
