A student pushes against a large maple tree with a force of magnitude 250 N. How much work does the student do on the tree?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

does the tree move?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It doesn't tell me the delta displacement, so how can I find the work? And no the tree does not move

OpenStudy (amistre64):

Work = Force * distance if distance = 0 then Work = 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohh..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the work done would be zero according to me as the same force would be acted on the boy according to newtons third law and so the work done is zero until a certain extent
