I know that x=20 and 5(4) = 20 to get 40, but how do you graph it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What is original equation?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x + 5y = 40. I know what it is but I dont know how to plot it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The easy way is tabulate 2 points x and y intercept: x = 0, y = 40/5 = 8 --> ( 0, 8) y = 0, x = 40 ---> ( 40, 0) Take scale 10 as 1 unit Connect 2 points to get the line.

From y on i got confused

i see where you got 0,8
