so I need help with the steps to simplify this: csc(arctan x) I know that sqrt(x^2 +1) = sec t and x = tan t; t= arctan(x)

sorry for the lousy picture, but cosecant is "hypotenuse over opposite" at least that is the simpleminded way of thinking about it
you get \[\frac{\sqrt{1-x^2}}{x}\] in one step after solving for the hypotenuse
