I know a cone has one Vertex, but I want to know how many edges does a cone have? I believe 0 but some say it's 1. Please help.
Answer with explanation please.
A cone is formed by placing a circle at the bottom and joining a large number of triangles keeping their base on the circumference and vertex is mapped to cone vertex. Edges=The number of triangles used + 1(for circle) Faces=Number of triangle used+1(for circle) vertex=2 (1 of cone at top and other is the center of circle) To give cone smooth finishing, it is assumed that the size of the triangle is infinitely small and that the number of triangles used is infinite.
Faces: A cone has two faces, the flat top and rounded middle Edges: A cone has one edge, separating the top of it from the slanted middle part Corners: A cone has one corner, at the bottom, where the middle ends, apex
Zero edges.
