the ordinate of the point (-8,6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you mean coordinate of the point? x=-8, y=6

OpenStudy (angela210793):

a coordiante is expressed as (abscissa;ordinate) so the ordinate of (-8;6) is 6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in any coordinate point the first number is always from x and the second number is from y .so in this -8 is from negative part of x and 6 is from positive part of y.
