APA-If I am using paraphrased information throughout a whole paragraph I just site the source at the end of the paragraph right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

After a paraphrase, there needs to be some sort of explanation as to why this infomation is being used. What point is being made about this piece of evidence?

OpenStudy (jagatuba):

But in answer to your question, cite your source at the end of the paraphrase. If the paraphrase happens to close the paragraph then yes you would cite at the end of the paragraph, but if the paraphrased material is at the beginning or middle of your paragraph, cite directly after it. That way the reader knows that those were not your ideas, but the author cited and that what follows is your own ideas. Does that make sense?
