2c-3=11
2c - 3 (+3) = 11 (+ 3) 2c = 14 2c/2 = 14/2 c = 7 check 2(7) - 3 = 11 14 - 3 = 11 11 = 11
can anyone help me
c = 7
you have to solve for the variable "c" you do this first by (3) + 2c-3=11 + 3 additive inverse of -3 1/2 [ 2c = 11 + 3 ] multiply by the reciprocal of 2 c = (11 + 3) / 2 simplify c = 14 / 2 c = 7 2c-3 = 11 ^ ^ | | | | as you see both side will be equal to each other so what ever you do to one side it must be done to the other side or else the wont end up equal the equations will be false
Hi Question Asker, did these two explanations help? I thank Mth and Fun for taking the time to create these explanations. It would be nice to know if you now understood.
