i just realized I didn't have a table of contents. Is there a special format for APA

Does your assignment call for a table of contents? I don't see a table of contents being necessary except for maybe at the graduate level. Even so, the APA has no rules governing tables of contents.

You can probably get by with level 2, 3, or 4 style headings for each ToC enty. If your entries have sub-entries, I probably go with a 3-2 format. That would look best in my opinion.
