The area of a rectangular athletic field is represented by the expression 36y^2-81z^2 square meters. Write an algebraic expression to represent one possible set of dimensions (in the sense “length times width”) of the athletic field. Include correct units with your solution.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Area of the field= \[36y ^{2}-81z ^{2}\] Which is same as: \[(6y+9z)(6y-9z)\] So I am assuming that: Length=\[(6y+9z)\] And breath= \[(6y-9z)\] So the expression you need is: \[(6y+9z)(6y−9z) \]

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

difference of squares --> (6y-9z)(6y+9z)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[(6y+9z)(6y−9z) m ^{2}\]* sorry forgot units before.

thank you
