What are some relevant events that prove that Native Americans still struggle for their true freedom?

You can go on about the Sioux Lacrosse team that refused to play for the United States and wanted to recognized as the "Sioux Nation" and refused to play. They aren't seen as a different people. The government gives them land without taxes and such, but they're not recognized as being a certain Indian nation, just Americans. Really, the Native American struggle is silenced by government funds. Maybe not a struggle for "Freedom", but better what they think they're entitled to. I'm here to put them down, nor belittle them, but just because they are conquered doesn't make them entitled to something. It's more of a personal issue, rather than political one.
