OpenStudy (anonymous):

What types of specimens are you able to view under Electron Microscopes And Light Microscopes? How did the specimen views differ?

OpenStudy (blues):

Think about what you know about light and electron microscopes. Light microscopes have much lower magnification than electron microscopes, so you should only be able to see very, very small things with the electron microscope. And think about specimine preparation techniques: electron microscopes need fixed, dead specimines, whereas light microscopes can be used to visualise living things. Clear?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

We need staining for light microscope.so we can visualize under light microscope. some variation like phase contarast dont require satined sample. similarly electron microscope also require specimen preparation. their various types of electron microscopy like SEM, TEM. Each require different kind of specimen preparation.
