Can there be a group moderator to manage a group? Such as adding a special note on the front page on a certain question, so everyone can see and answer The question I mean here is like discussion questions, I feel like it is a good way to learn by discussing questions with everyone

OpenStudy (jagatuba):

The highest ranked user at any given time in a group is a group moderator. They can kick, and delete any questions, answers, and especially inappropriate content. I'm not sure what you mean by discussion questions. Thats what all questions are really: questions posed by an asker to be discussed. Can you clarify what you mean?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you post up a discussion question, not many people will see it as there are more and more questions coming So can a post be topped so everyone can see like that..

hmmm... i also agree wid cmkc here as i also found same problem but i have a idea if u guys can makes smthing flag sytem and whenever an OS user comes first unanswered qn will be shown and the flag will be given to those qn by moderator whom he /he thinks its a good qn all must read this

A better way would be to have provisions for gold, silver and bronze medals, depending on quality of answers. Also, I would be pleased if the website has separate groups and fonts to support numerous languages of the world.

they want ability to make sticky question like in forums

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'd vote for this, but IMHO we need stricter controls on who can do this. For instance, sticky sites like proofwiki and mathworld and wolframalpha. Or, if there's a particularly awesome problem, have a temporary sticky. And stuff like this should only be done by group moderators. And there should be a limit to how long a problem can be stickied.
