Does anyone know how to do APA header format in Microsoft Word? The words "Running Head" should only be on the first page, but it keeps putting them on every page :(
Oh JAGATUUUBA!!! He's our resident APA expert here.
I actually know how to do this. (I did it right now as in this afternoon.) Go to Insert, header, edit header. You should have your header highlighted. Then, check Different First Page on the options area. Then, you can make a running head. :)
1. Go to Insert, Header, Blank 2. Click on Different First Page 3. Click on Page Number, Plain Number 3 4. Type your “Running head: BLAHBLAHBLAH” next to the page number 5. Hit Tab key twice to move running head to the left (usually it’s twice; if your page header is longer, you may only need to hit Tab once) 6. Repeat all steps on page 2, changing the header by omitting the phrase “Running head:”
Thank you! I'm doing it on Mac so it was a little different but I figured it out :)
