Explain why biodiversity is important to people
try to post this in Biology group :)
takesingleton posting this here won't help you much, post this in Biology or environmental science. Thanks :)
Biodiversity, means that the environment is more healthy. Each organism has an ecological niche. The more niches that occupied, the healthier the environment, this is because there is balance.
Biodiversity ---> more genetic variation ---> more likely for species to survive & live on in case of ecological change. :D
im new here so how do I get to the biology group ?
For example... we all need a variety of primary producers, incase an invasive species is introduced to the environment, we can assume that at least some of the native producers will survive, due to their unique adaptation. Similarly, if the rabbits are being eaten by snakes, then another tertiary predator is needed to keep the snake population in check. So the more species you have... the more dynamic equilibrium you would have in the environment.... get it?
Click on the "join more groups" at the top left hand corner of the site and just search for biology.
Ummm.. okay so there's a page on here with a bunch of different groups, scroll down until you see biology and just click to join. I'm part of the bio group, so I can help you :)
it makes the environment a better place pretty much
