OpenStudy (anonymous):

please?

OpenStudy (ragingsquirrel):

6 cups so... one pint is 2 cups. So the last one wouldnt work because that's 3 cups. 1 quart= 2 pints. 2 pints plus one pint is 3 pints so that would come up to 6 cups. Number 3 is the correct answe.

OpenStudy (radar):

Have you totaled the number of cups yet?

OpenStudy (ragingsquirrel):

Charles mailed 3 packages weighing 1 lb 4 oz and 1 lb 6 oz. What was the total weight of the packages?

OpenStudy (ragingsquirrel):

1.4 plus 1.6? 3 pounds!

OpenStudy (radar):

those two came up to 2 lbs 10 oz. how much did the third package weigh?

OpenStudy (radar):

You know there are 16 oz in a pound..

OpenStudy (ragingsquirrel):

Haha, i actually thought it was 10. sorry about that

OpenStudy (radar):

there are two standards, one for gold and precious metals another for other. For the precious metals I don't know how many oz in a pound someting less than 16 but greater than 10.

OpenStudy (radar):

Troy weight 12 oz = l lb avoiripus (spellling???) 16 0z = 1 lb
