the shading is above the graph so you know it's one of the greater than choices... then just plug in a couple of x values to see which of the two left will fit the graph. plug in -1 and you get 4, plug in -2 and you get 5 notice that (-1,4) and (-2,5) are both points on your graph. If you plugged -1 into the first greater than choice, you get (-1,2) that is not on the graph
