Find the missing exponent. Set up an equation and solve. : (y^8)^n = y^16 N = missing exponent. Please explain so I can understand.

okay so first off, the answer is 2.

Now... whenever you have an exponent raised to the power of another exponent.. you multiply the two exponents. so think of it this way 8x=16 divide both sides by 8... and you get x=2
