the graph is of y=|x| shifted to the left two units and down three units. y = |x - h| + k h = -2 (units to the left), k = -3 (units up) y = |x - (-2)| - 3 y = |x + 2| - 3 we're only dealing with the values larger than of the function y > |x + 2| - 3

I should say, h = -2 is the units to the right, since we are going further from the right by going left. just correcting myself there
