Each dimension of a rectangular prism is increased by 80%. What percent of the original volume is the volume of the new prism?

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Each dimension is 1.8 times its original value. Then you will multiply the 3 dimensions together. So the new volume will be (1.8)^3 times the original volume which is 5.83 or 583%

583.2%?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah i think its 583.2 because when you multiply all those together(the 1.8*3) then you get 5.832 so if you move the decimal point over two times you get 583.2:)
