If when the population of a species or animal becomes too high, it can adversely affect the environment. Now, what if there were too many/a high number of worms in the soil? How would that be bad?
Really good thinking. Yes it will be bad for ecosystem. As worms are increasing in number they are giving compition to other organisms wich use same food as worm. It means sombody is starving because of worm. So loss of biodiversity.
So what organisms are competition to the worm? Worms decompose/eat organic matter.....so their competition would be microorganisms? :O . Also, I read that when there are too many worms, the adults kill themselves to make sure there is food sufficient for the babies. (just thought i'd say that). but how would too many worms affect us humans?
more num. of worms will be then there will be shortage of dead matter then might be evolution occur and they start eating living leaves which will ultimately effect the food chain.
LOL. preety out of box thinking... If number is more then they will tavel to low no. place rather than evolve.Because evolving such way is very very difficult task
by the way its a hypothetical qn so ans must be hypothetical too i guess :P
