(1)The normal body temperature is 98.4 degree fahrenheit. What is this temperature on celsius scale?(2)At what temperature do the fahrenheit and celsius scales coincide.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The formula that converts Fahrenheit to Celsius is given by \[C=(5/9) (32-F)\] So you solve the first part of the question. The second part can be solved by setting C=F such that \[C=F=(5/9) (32-F)\] Solving for F should give \[ F=C=-40\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The above formula is wrong. It should actually be C=(5/9)(F-32)

yep you're right. Thanks for picking that up
