Does anybody know what is the fee for getting certificate from MITx and when exactly is to pay?

The course itself is free of charge through the MITx pilot program, and you can receive a credential [an electronic certificate]; however, the fee for a credential will be waived.

I`ve heard there would be no charge for credential this time and would be paid next time and so forth.What is meant by an electronic certificate?

I've seen some from the Stanford University basically it's an image like a scan of your diploma ,signed and all, and some sites keep a database online so anyone can check that you truly finished and made the grade but who knows... I hope the certificate is free of charge as you say
