x/5-4=x/3-6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x=15

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How do you do the equation??

sam (.sam.):

(x)/(5)-4=(x)/(3)-6 Move all terms not containing x to the right-hand side of the equation. -(2x)/(15)-4=-6 Move all terms not containing x to the right-hand side of the equation. -(2x)/(15)=-2 Multiply each term in the equation by 15. -2x=-30 Divide each term in the equation by -2. x=15
