Find the median to the nearest hundredth. -1/3,1.2,0.48,-4/3,0.75,1.38

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

sort these in order lowest to highest then either take the middle number, or the mean of the two numbers in the middle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay thank you

OpenStudy (rulnick):

Any number from 0.48 to 0.75 qualifies as a median of this data set. Your teacher may or may not know that. Usually the average of the two middle numbers is taken, which in this case would be 0.615.

OpenStudy (rulnick):

To the nearest hundredth this would be 0.62, by conventional rounding (round up if next digit is 5).
