f(x) = -5x8 + 2x3 - 100x + 4

OpenStudy (turingtest):

what are you trying to do with this function?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

describe the end behavior. Can you explain how to do that?

OpenStudy (turingtest):

all you need to do is look at the first term\[-5x^8\]because the exponent is even both ends of the graph will go in the same direction. because the coefficient is negative, the graph goes to /negative/ infinity in both directions http://www.purplemath.com/modules/polyends.htm

Thanks! Would you happen to know how to solve an equation like : f(x)= 4x^3-3x^2-34x+26 over x^3-x^2-34x-56 for all of it's asymptotes?
